Service Area:
(Joe) Foley Bus Lines school buses service Marmora, Madoc and surrounding areas. Our buses carry elementary and secondary students on a daily basis and most are available for charter trips.
Our school bus runs are contracted to Foley's by the Tri-Board Student Transportation Services.
Schools we service include Centre Hastings Secondary School, Madoc Public School, Madoc Township Public School, Marmora Senior Public School, Earl Prentice Elementary School, Sacred Heart Catholic Elementary School.
We carry students for the Adult Retraining Centre in Madoc and operate feeder buses for students transferring to and from St. Theresa Catholic Secondary School and Nicholson Catholic College in Belleville. We are contracted to transport handicapped students to the W. Ross MacDonald School in Brantford.
School Bus Fleet:
(Joe) Foley Bus Lines currently has a fleet of 25 school buses servicing our area schools. We have wheelchair equipped school buses available for special needs students and offer video surveillance for the protection and safety of our students and drivers.
Most of our school buses provide interior luggage racks and we also have buses available with extra undercarriage storage compartments.
Our school buses are maintained under strict regulations set forth by the Ministry of Transportation, Ontario and the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board.
Drivers:
Our school bus drivers are well trained professionals. They undergo rigorous testing and updated training on a regular basis and take ongoing courses on such subjects as behaviour management and defensive driving. We have several trained professional adults who monitor the transporting of handicapped passengers.
Our drivers are regulated by the codes dictated by our company and the school boards we service - they must interact well and be responsible to their employer, school officials, board officials and the students they carry (and their parents/caregivers).
We are proud of our school bus drivers and commend them for their dedication to their jobs that demand a very high level of responsibility and accountability!
